Too selfless, too sweet ...... thanks could never be enough.

For Dash

I have struggled with words to write for a friend

Who decided his time here had come to an end

He was thoughtful and selfless went beyond and above

And cared for my brother in an act of pure love

I know opinions are divided but goodbye was his choice

And one ultimately listens to only one voice

It’s the one that’s inside you whether conscience or soul

That entwines actions and destiny only you can control

What lies after this life, I for one really can’t say

The best I can do hopefully, is to find out the very next day

Another life or reality, it is the ultimate mystery

For me the old song Que Sera, what will be, will be

But for some what comes next is their only salvation

They seem certain of a brighter and better next incarnation

To me judgement is wasted there’s no right or wrong

Who can argue if you ‘knew you no longer belong’

So I choose no longer to critique what I don’t understand

Just that my life’s so much richer having known this man

Though I’m saddened & bewildered I just want to say

Thanks mate and let’s hope we do meet again one day
